May 2013 Wrap-Up

Books Read: 9 Hey, folks. I turned out to be busy sooner than I expected. As mentioned in my previous post, I was lucky enough to land in a different job which is closer to my educational background and interests. My first day in my second work experience blew myself away as I was immediately exposed to the nature of my company. Now, on my second month I can say that work is exciting and challenging for me. I am learning a lot and meeting various important people in the society. I even got an offer for a scholarship abroad! Read More …

For now, let’s stick with this monthly review of the books I have read. If I Stay by Gayle Forman Rating:  4/5 I have seen this book being reviewed and talked about by fellow bookworms. March 2013 Wrap-up

March 2013 Wrap-up Books Read: 13 I didn’t expect I would still have a more than ten book read at the end of the month. Luckily, there’s the lent holiday from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday so that’s something to be thankful for as Catholic. Aside from praying and reflecting, I had free time to read more books! It’s like book marathon all over again. An update on my 2013 Goodreads Reading Challenge. When 2013 started, I decided to sign up for 50 books in a year. However, with the rate I am going, I would certainly finish the challenge Read More …

February 2013 Wrap-Up

Books read: 17 It’s the time of the month again. Even though February has lesser days compared to the rest of the months, I managed to read 17 books. Yay! A lot of people are asking me how I can read a lot of books in a short time. For a quick answer to others, I don’t use audio books. I read printed and digital books only. The thing is, no matter how busy I am with my family, work, and social lives I still find and create time for books. When my social life gets too hyper, like going Read More …

January 2013 Wrap-up

Read: 15 books On the first day of the New Year, I signed up for Goodreads 2013 Reading Challenge. I have 50 books to finish for this year. It is the same amount of books I have read for six months last year so others think I can do a hundred in a year. That may be possible, but I anticipate myself getting busy later this year so I got half of that. For the first month of the year, I got productive in reading 15 books in a month. Some think I am an introvert who spends most of Read More …

2012 Reading Challenge: Done!

Before I totally put 2012 in the past, I would like to share you my accomplishment last year. As the title suggested, I finished my Goodreads Reading Challenge with a time to spare. Last June 28, I joined the quest to read 50 books until the end of the year. That’s like 50 books in six months. At first, I thought it would be easy. I am a fast reader and have a lot of free time. I am single (never married and no boyfriend), a bit of a loner, and dependent to helpers for house chores. So I was Read More …

For this month, I have read only five novels. September reads

September came and went and I had many things in mind aside from reading. I was busy with my social life, Korean dramas, and musical instrument. However, I still feel that I should’ve read more. For this month, I have finished reading only six novels, bringing me to almost half of my reading challenge for this year I am going to give my short reviews and ratings for those books I have squeezed to leaf during my busy schedule. Let’s cut the chase and proceed! 1. The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett Rating: 4/5 As I wanted to read Read More …
