10 Gift Ideas for Bookworms (Books excluded!)

There are only 18 days before Christmas and we can already feel the Yuletide Season! Shops displaying holiday icons, FM radios playing Christmas songs, shopping malls offering great sales are some signs that the festive season is arriving. In this time, the spirit of love is apparent in the air and the art of giving gifts is also common. Along with that comes the most common problem some of us have – what shall I give him/her? For this post, I am offering my list of gift suggestions for us, bookworms! Who else? Now, for a change, and as what Read More …

July: Read books

For the month of July, I have only read thirteen books (approximately 2.3 days/book). I’m not sure if I should be happy or not with this statistics, but I guess I should be glad to have read something than others who have not read anything at all. However, I somehow feel like I should have read more if only I have more free time. Anyway, here’s the list of the books that I have read during Julius Caesar’s birthmonth. I have written the book titles, authors, my ratings, and Goodreads summary for each. Hades by Alexandra Adornetto. Rating: 3/5. I have read Read More …

Twice in a Day: Channeling Anastasia Steele

July 29, 2012 I. For reason I am yet to fathom, Peter wanted to go outside. It would be wonderful if it were not constantly raining.  However, I found the idea appealing and nodded my assent though as I look back, I wonder what will be his reaction if I’ll give him a rain check (pardon the pun, LOL). He then queried if I have watched the Korean movie The Classic (클래식) in which I have replied in affirmative. I Read More …

This person has the passion to enjoy reading stories of different genres and time periods. More often than not, a bookworm gets too engrossed with his/her reading that he/she seems oblivious with anything that goes around him/her. Sometimes, especially if the bookworm finds one of the character too interesting or near his/her personality, he/she imagine him/herself in the Read More …

Date a Girl Who Reads

Thursday, July 19 I arrived in the office fashionably late than my usual time since I woke up pretty not so early this morning. I stayed up until 3 AM reading Judith Mcnaught’s Paradise, but wasn’t able to finish the 600+ pages of the novel in one straight reading. Surrendering to the lateness of the hour and the growing headache I was experiencing, I decided to call it a night. When I woke up, it’s already 7 AM, but it’s still dark outside. It might be due to those thick curtains which serve the purpose of blocking sunlight from entering Read More …
