OASAP Giveaway | Pre-Christmas Gift

It’s 96 days to go before Christmas! Can you feel the upcoming season already? In the Philippines, Christmas songs are being played in some department stores and cafes as soon as the –ber months started, i.e, September. I know it may sound absurd to some, but explaining my country’s culture would warrant a separate article. No matter how others view our social practice, don’t you think it’s cool to have other reasons to prepare the celebration of Christmas three months earlier? In the society we currently live in, commerce plays an important role in redefining what we believe in. Aside Read More …

It’s my birthday!

Last week, I reached my 24th year of existence. Hooray! Who would have thought that I am no longer 16? Even a few minutes earlier, a nurse in my post-graduate school mistakenly took me for an undergrad freshman. Do I really look that young? I didn’t really feel like throwing a huge party unlike before, but my day still went on being special. When the clock struck midnight, the room went dark and I was greeted with a big chocolate birthday cake with lighted candles. Birthday songs in two languages and tight hugs followed. Later, my mom prepared a dinner Read More …

Back to School with Parachute Bags

As I have mentioned in my previous post, I took the first step in pursuing further studies last month. It was almost three years since I gained my bachelor’s degree and I was very excited to be a student again. There is something refreshing and youthful on being in a university, walking around the campus with the younger generation, and learning from my class instructors. I now feel more alive – confident that I will be gaining more knowledge on my chosen field of study, which will later help me pursue my dream. From my experience, studying can be both Read More …

Now that I am back, I promise to torture you with my tales from last month. For now, let’s settle for my 2014 mid-year review. Shopping at ZaloraPH Pop-up Shop

As Zalora celebrated its second year anniversary as an e-commerce giant here in the Philippines, it rewarded its clienteles with its first-ever pop-up and offline shop. Held at Glorietta activity center at Makati City, the three-day sale featured huge discounts from big fashion brands of clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories. It was one epic shopping experience I had! After a successful two years in the online shopping business, Zalora Philippines wanted to celebrate with its customers by putting up an offline shop full of fab and discounted items in a limited time. On April 11-13, hoarders and shopaholics alike put Read More …

REVEALED: Things You Must (or not) Know About Me

Thank you for continuously reading Impressions of a Princess. After celebrating my second blog anniversary, I think it is only fitting that I share more about myself. To my loyal readers who have yet to meet me in person, I hope I can create an image (hopefully beautiful) with these confessions I am going to make. I trust that you won’t judge me with my eccentricities. NERD Periodic Table of Elements always amazes me.  My friend and I usually test each other by guessing the chemical names, symbols, atomic numbers, and physical samples. I sometimes dislike that being a chemical Read More …

First Quarter of 2014 Review

In just a blink of an eye, it seems that days flew by so swiftly that I almost did not notice that a few days from now, we would be saying goodbye to the first quarter of the year. Could you almost believe that? By next week, it would be three months since we welcomed the start of 2014. How have you been holding up? I guess it is only right that at this point, let’s try to look back and reflect on how we spent the last 90 days or so. Were we productive? Did we reach our goals? Read More …

Graduation Ball Dress Ideas

I feel like it was just yesterday when everyone welcomed the start of 2014, but I realized that time really does fly so fast. Now that we are already on the last week of March, most students are giddy with excitement for their upcoming graduation. By the end of this month or early April, they will be proudly marching along the tune of Pomp and Circumstance and receiving their school diploma. Before going to the big day and receiving the certificate of completion, there’s still another event students are excited about. More often than not, for graduating students, this is Read More …

Catching Fire Inspired: Colored Wedding Dresses from DressV

Last weekend, I re-watched Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and like the first time, I was awed how it was faithful to the novel. Even while in the middle of the movie, I nodded every time I remembered a particular scene from the book. As a bookworm, I can only count how many film adaptations were successful in following the plot and even the minute details from books. Being a reader gives me unlimited ways to imagine how a person or scene would look like, and it amazes me how the visual presentation of everything I read sometimes I agreed with Read More …
