By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept

I started reading Paulo Coelho’s By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept two days ago. This is my second book from the author, and I have high expectations. When I first read The Alchemist, I was astounded by how the writer compacted most of life’s greatest teachings in one book. And now, for my second novel, I hope that I won’t be disappointed. With the holidays just around the corner, I only got into page 25 of the book. I was hoping to continue reading it right after my work yesterday, but something happened. 30-day Blogging Challenge: Day 26 (A childhood memory)

There is a garden in every childhood, an enchanted place where colors are brighter, the air softer, and the morning more fragrant than ever again.  ~Elizabeth Lawrence Even as a child, I was a loner. Playing with other children my age was okay, but I prefer being alone. I didn’t like to play outdoors, especially under the scorching heat of the sun, for fear of sweating too much. 30-day Blogging Challenge: Day 16 (A song that makes you cry)

I love music and I especially like songs which have good lyrics and meanings. I admire songwriters who have the ability to put into words a certain feeling a person can have. Date a Man Who Reads

In my last post, I have suggested for men to date a girl who reads. For this entry, I’d like to persuade girls (bookworm or not) to date a man who reads. 🙂 A bookworm is, basically, someone who loves to read. This person has the passion to enjoy reading stories of different genres and time periods. More often than not, a bookworm gets too engrossed with his/her reading that he/she seems oblivious with anything that goes around him/her. Sometimes, especially if the bookworm finds one of the character too interesting or near his/her personality, he/she imagine him/herself in the Read More …
